Leicester Underwater Exploration Club

Swithland Wood is an old slate quarry owned by the Charnwood Forestry Commission, and is situated North of Anstey village, Leicestershire (see map on www.multimap.com.

The club hires this 50m deep quarry once a month so that divers can experience diving at these depths and prepare for deep dives at the sea. We meet at the Swithland Woods (South) car park, as we are limited in the number of vehicles we can take up to the quarry.
