Plans are underway for LUEC’s annual dive holiday to the Farne Islands in Northumbria.
Acknowledged as one of the UK’s top dive sites, the Farnes provides members with the opportunity to get up close and personal with the resident seals.
Spaces at Seahouses (self-catered accommodation for the week), are available on a first-come, first serve basis. Additional local accommodation (including B&B’s and a campsite is also nearby).

Snorkeling and dives will be undertaken from the Club RIB. Most diving is around 20m so suitable for Ocean Diver grades (or above).
Based on the 2018 prices, costs are anticipated to be circa:
Boat use levy (contribution towards annual storage, insurance, maintenance etc): £10
One off payment to cover harbour fees, trailer storage and towing fuel: £25
Cost per dive/snorkel (boat fuel): £6
Air fills: £4
Apart from the accommodation (the balance for this is payable mid July) the exact costs are calculated and collected after the event.
