2024
Anxiety, panic attacks and safe scuba diving
In February 2024, LUEC committee member Kirsty spoke with BSAC about learning to dive with anxiety and panic attacks. In this article, Kirsty took the opportunity to celebrate how LUEC had supported her love of diving and helped her to overcome her anxiety.
2013
In 2013, LUEC and Del Mar Scuba Club joined forced to celebrate the 60th anniversary of BSAC and break the Guinness World Record for underwater dominoes. At the event, 60 divers played underwater for 15 minutes to earn their spot in the Guinness World Record Book.

2012
Thanks to the efforts of former LUEC member Adam Waters, who helped restore Windsor Castle after the fire of 1992, LUEC was chosen to fly the flag for BSAC at the historic Thames flotilla on 3 June 2012.
In the lead up to, and after the prestigious event that marked Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee, Adam, his LUEC buddies, and Club RIB Vixen, featured in the BBC News, and edition 16 of BSAC’s magazine ‘Tanked Up’.
