A lot happens at our weekly Club Nights! Every Thursday from 8pm, Club Scuba and Snorkelling members (and their families) are welcome to use the Leisure Centre’s 25m pool for training, leisure or fitness activities. Snorkelling courses are available throughout the year for individuals or families looking to develop or up skill prior to a holiday and try-dives can be scheduled on request. Dry-side, BSAC theory lessons and fully approved BSAC training sessions can often be found in session, with members also using the time to plan their next dive trip.
The 2018 Menai Strait Boat Run saw 35 individual club RIBs and 270 BSAC members (and their families) meet on the north Wales coastline to blast away the cob webs ahead of the dive season to come. The 12th annual event is expected to be even bigger and better.
LUEC are proud to be participating in the 2019 event. Spaces are limited on ‘Vixen’ and are available on a first come, first serve basis. As per previous years the Boat Run will no doubt include stops for delicious, locally-sourced fish and chips and an ice-cream!
